NCC is pleased to announce that our commitment to the Science Based Targets initiative, known as SBTi, has recently been approved.
This approval marks an important milestone in our sustainability journey and reflects our continued commitment to taking meaningful action on climate change across our business and wider supply chain.
Established in 1969, NCC is a globally recognised expert in raw material sourcing. We supply a comprehensive portfolio of materials and ingredients to the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, medical device, food ingredients and related industries. Backed by decades of experience and deep in-house expertise, we deliver fully traceable, compliant products and services that meet the highest international standards.
With offices and warehouses spanning the USA, UK, Ireland and mainland Europe, NCC plays an important role in supporting efficient and seamless sourcing for customers across global markets. As the pharmaceutical sector continues to advance, we remain a trusted partner in meeting raw material needs for large-scale production.
Reducing emissions requires collaboration
Given our position in the supply chain, we recognise that reducing emissions requires collaboration beyond our own operations. That is why NCC is adopting a supplier engagement approach to address Scope 3 emissions.
Scope 3 emissions are often the most challenging to influence, as they sit within the wider value chain. By working closely with our suppliers, we aim to encourage and support them in setting their own science-based targets. Over time, this will help ensure that a defined proportion of our supply chain is aligned with global climate goals.
Sustainability is a fundamental principle
Sustainability is a fundamental principle in NCC’s everyday work. From the decisions we make to the partnerships we build, we are focused on playing our part in creating a lower-carbon future while continuing to supply the traceable, compliant and high-quality materials our customers rely on.
The approval of our SBTi commitment is a positive milestone, but it is also part of a longer journey. We look forward to continuing to work with our suppliers, partners and stakeholders to drive progress and support meaningful climate action across our value chain.
